We are SO excited to show you highlights from our honeymoon in Maui! And I’m equally as excited to share with you some BRAND NEW MUSIC. That’s right! My newest single “Easy To Love” is here and I can’t wait for yall to take a listen.
After our wedding we had one day to recoup (and ice my feet from dancing!!) and we were off to Maui! We went to a Luau, where James got up onstage with the other new husbands and learned how to do the hula!!! We also took a helicopter tour with Air Maui and hopped over to Molokai island to see the waterfalls. It’s absolutely breathtaking. One of my goals was to see dolphins so we of course had to take a Dolphin & Snorkel cruise over to Lanai with the Pacific Whale Foundation. I’m actually pretty terrified of getting into the ocean (I know, The Little Mermaid is my favorite princess, how is that possible?) but we had a ton of fun AND got to see dolphins! Towards the end of our trip we decided to brave The Road To Hana, which I have already done TWICE before. But, for James I was willing to do it a third time. Now if you aren’t familiar with The Road To Hana let me enlighten you. It is a 2.5 hour drive along Maui’s coast with 59 bridges, 46 of which are only ONE LANE! If you aren’t careful you can get super car sick (which is what happened on my second Hana tour with DeAnna my senior year of high school.) It was rainy and dreary but we made it! Our last few days were spent on the beach and exploring the island. Maui truly is one of my FAVORITE places on the planet.
Now onto the music side of things. It’s been almost two years since I’ve released any new music and with that said, I’m extremely proud of the new direction / sound that this song has taken on. It was of course inspired by my husband, James. 🙂
Special thanks to Maui Westin Resort & Spa for an amazing honeymoon (and for the ocean view upgrade when there were screaming babies next door to us). Thank you to Kalen Orr & Jonny Gore for recording, producing, and arranging “Easy To Love”. And also, special shout out to our selfie stick that made taking pictures and looking VERY much like a tourist incredibly convenient! Where has that been all my life!
Enjoy!
